The
Saloon at Jack London Lodge
Jack London Saloon,
at the gateway to Jack London Historic State Park, is steeped in turn
of the century history and elegance, with comfortable seating at
tables, sofa and chairs, or antique polished oak bar. Catch a
sporting event on the big screen TV, enjoy a get together with
friends, shoot a game or two of pool in the adjacent den, or stop in
for a late night aperitif.
The Saloon,
featuring a full bar, Wine Country vintages, and Wolf House cuisine,
is open daily until 2 a.m. Grab a bite to eat from the full
lunch and dinner, or special bar menu, available until 9 p.m. every
day. Time travel through Glen Ellen’s historic past and the life
of Jack London while taking in the saloon’s fascinating display of
photographs and memorabilia.
The Saloon’s
atmosphere is true to its namesake’s concept of what a good saloon
should be: a place to relax and enjoy friendly fellowship.
“Clientele is a lively mix of locals and travelers,” Linda Richards
points out. “Our bar is full of local characters – among them,
winery owners and winemakers – they are down to earth and friendly,
and they love to visit and tell stories. The Saloon is warm and
unpretentious.”
Step outside
onto the Creekside Patio, overlooking the wooded creek that meanders
through Sonoma Valley, and bask in the glow of the late afternoon sun
or enchanting Valley of the Moon-light. The fragrant flower
garden and stone fountain of the Creekside Patio offer a serene
backdrop for all occasions, from tête à tête to weddings, parties, and
barbecues.
